Every curiosity begins a journey...

Each Stranger Folkes piece is carefully prepared before it leaves the Archive. Some curiosities are handmade, some are carefully restored, and others are thoughtfully gathered from forgotten places across Britain. Because every order is prepared with care, dispatch times may vary.

Dispatch Times

Most ready-to-ship curiosities are dispatched within 2–5 working days.

Made-to-order, handmade or personalised curiosities may take up to 14 days to prepare before dispatch.

Where possible, estimated dispatch times will always be shown on the individual product page.

Multiple Curiosities

If your order contains several curiosities, they may occasionally arrive in separate parcels.

This simply means each piece has travelled from a different corner of the Archive and allows us to prepare every discovery with the care it deserves.

You will never be charged additional postage unless clearly shown before checkout.

Seasonal Periods

During Christmas, public holidays or particularly busy times, dispatch and delivery may take a little longer than usual.

We thank all curious visitors for their patience while the Archivist carefully prepares each discovery for its journey.

Delivery

Once your curiosity has left the Archive, delivery times will depend on the postal service selected during checkout.

Although every effort is made to ensure a safe and timely arrival, occasional postal delays are unfortunately beyond our control.

Lost or Delayed Orders

If you believe your curiosity has wandered off course, please write to the Archivist using our Contact page.

We'll do everything we can to help reunite you with your discovery.

Every curiosity carries a story.

Some have been handcrafted in our Yorkshire workshop, while others have been carefully chosen, restored or rescued before earning their place within the Archive.
