Welcome to Stranger Folkes; a growing collection of folklore-inspired curiosities, handmade creations, thoughtfully upcycled pieces and carefully chosen discoveries gathered for those who enjoy the unusual.

Every curiosity that finds its way onto these shelves is selected because it carries something special. It may be its craftsmanship, its character, the memories it inspires or simply the feeling that it belongs amongst forgotten tales and quiet wonder.

Each piece is carefully catalogued before being given its own specimen number and welcomed into the Archive.

Some curiosities are handmade within our Yorkshire workshop.

Others have been lovingly restored, rescued or thoughtfully selected before beginning a new chapter with Stranger Folkes.

When a curiosity finds a new keeper, its place upon the shelves may become empty, but its story is never forgotten.

Instead, it is carefully preserved within The Archive, where visitors can continue to discover the curiosities that have already found new homes.
