Some gatherings are never written about.

On quiet autumn evenings, when the last candle burns low and the village has fallen asleep, two old friends are said to meet beneath the fading light. A pot of tea is poured, stories are exchanged, and another pumpkin quietly watches the passing of another season.

No one knows who they were before the hats, the laughter, and the silence. Only that every year, without fail, the table is set once more.

Perhaps some traditions are never meant to end.
