Curator's Note

Every piece in the Stranger Folkes Archive is chosen for a reason. Some are discovered unexpectedly, others carefully sought out, but each one earns its place by capturing a feeling worth preserving.

This is why Specimen No. A-0758 found its place within the Archive.

Emma discovered these curious little plates tucked away among the forgotten things. Their scene seemed to tell its own story: three witches gathered beneath a full moon, their cauldron sitting between them as though something secret was about to be brewed.

There was something about the old-fashioned black, white and grey imagery that made Emma stop and look twice. Perhaps they had once belonged to a kitchen where stories were told after dark, or perhaps they were simply waiting for someone curious enough to find them.

With their ornate border and wonderfully mysterious woodland scene, they make a lovely addition to a gothic, witchy or folklore-inspired home.
