Curator's Note

Every piece in the Stranger Folkes Archive is chosen for a reason. Some are discovered unexpectedly, others carefully sought out, but each one earns its place by capturing a feeling worth preserving.

This is why Specimen No. A-0753 found its place within the Archive.

Emma discovered this one while searching for the Oldlings.

She had been following the clues deeper into the forgotten places, looking for anything that might help her understand where they had been taken  and how she might finally set them free.

She almost walked past this piece.

Then she noticed the little ghost.

Sitting quietly on the swing beside a black cat, he seemed to be watching her. Emma stopped. Perhaps it was simply a strange piece of artwork...

Or perhaps, after everything she had seen, she was beginning to wonder if some things were able to see her too.

The Piece

A wonderfully atmospheric piece of  wall art depicting a little white ghost sitting on a swing beside a mysterious black cat beneath a moonlit sky.

Finished with an ornate gold-effect beaded frame, it has a wonderfully strange mixture of gothic charm, folklore and quiet Halloween magic.

Perhaps Emma found it by chance.
Perhaps it was waiting for her.
