Curator’s Note

Every piece in the Stranger Folkes Archive is chosen for a reason. Some are curious, some unsettling, and others simply seem to belong somewhere beyond the ordinary.

Specimen No. A-0777 was the sort of figure Emma could not walk past.

She found her standing quietly with a broom in one hand and a mysterious little spellbook in the other, dressed entirely in black beneath a wonderfully crooked witch’s hat.

Emma wondered where she had been going — and what was written inside that book.

Naturally, she brought her back.

With her elegant black dress, pointed hat, broom and detailed spellbook, The Witch & Her Spellbook has all the charm of a character discovered inside an old book of folklore.

The figure has a wonderfully traditional witchy appearance, with flowing layers, delicate details and a striking black-and-white palette that gives her plenty of gothic character. She would make a particularly lovely addition to a witchy reading nook, gothic bedroom, Halloween display or curious corner of the home.

At approximately 40cm tall, she has enough presence to stand beautifully on a shelf, sideboard, mantel or table without becoming overwhelming.
